At Gadachrili Gora and Shulaveris Gora, researchers examined large pottery jars from early farming settlements. Organic-acid residues, grape pollen, starch, phytoliths, and the local ecology together support the interpretation that people made and stored grape wine here roughly eight thousand years ago.
